They needed to Conduct 100 language proficiency tests per month posed logistical challenges, including test creation, administration, and evaluation. The assessments needed to be consistent and accurate, aligning with the CEFR scale to ensure uniform language skill evaluation.
MULTILINGUAL FOREIGN LANGUAGE TESTING COMPANY APPROACH
The client collaborated with PIE Multilingual company, a language testing service provider to design a comprehensive language assessment system using the CEFR scale. The solution incorporated four main methods based on Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening to evaluate candidates' language proficiency. We designed a reading assessment to evaluate candidates' ability to understand written content in the respective languages. This involved providing passages or text excerpts followed by comprehension questions to assess candidates' comprehension and vocabulary. Our team conducted a writing assessment aimed at evaluating candidates' ability to construct coherent written sentences and express ideas accurately in the target languages. Candidates were given prompts or topics to write essays or short paragraphs, allowing for assessment of their grammar, vocabulary, and overall writing skills. Our company conducted a speaking assessment using video or voice calls, where candidates engaged in conversations or responded to prompts. The speaking assessment involved interactive sessions where candidates engaged in conversations, role-plays, or oral presentations in the target languages. Our trained assessors evaluated candidates based on their pronunciation, fluency, and ability to communicate effectively. We administered Listening comprehension tests using
audio clips or recordings. The listening assessment focused on evaluating candidates' ability to comprehend spoken language. Candidates listened to audio recordings or live conversations and answered questions based on what they heard, assessing their listening comprehension skills.
